The Plan Guidance for the new investment round has been released. If you are a tertiary education organisation (TEO) with an Investment Plan expiring in 2020 and you are seeking more than $3 million in TEC funding for 2021, you will need to submit a new Plan. Institutes of technology and polytechnics (ITPs) and industry training organisations (ITOs), affected by the changes proposed under the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE), will be provided with a separate guidance in 2020.

Plan Guidance provides you with information about what we will be looking for in your Plan.

We will publish Supplementary Plan Guidance in 2020 to reflect the changes ahead for many in the tertiary education sector, including those from a new Tertiary Education Strategy (TES) and the legislative changes supporting RoVE.

The Plan Guidance is supported by our Investment Toolkit. The toolkit contains a suite of products and templates to support the development of your Investment Plan. They can inform your discussions with your Relationship Manager or Advisor.

We have continued to put a strong focus on parity. The moral, social, and economic arguments for parity are compelling – we must have a system that delivers tertiary success for all New Zealanders. We will work with you to understand what changes will be most effective and how we can ensure they are made.

We look forward to working collaboratively with you over the coming year to improve the way we work to deliver better outcomes for learners.
